You will move in with your flatmates, which means you schedule a date with them, travel to your new flat, and are welcomed there. Your room will be ready, and the keys will be waiting for you.
How does this work?
You will be provided with a Link from homefully. By following it, you will be able to suggest several move-in dates with time slots. Please note that the day of your contract start is the earliest day possible for your move-in. Via the link, you will also send the first message to your future flatmates and introduce yourself.
Your flatmates will receive your time suggestions and confirm when it suits them. As they have their own schedules and working hours, it's beneficial to suggest at least 3 move-in slots that are possible for you.
Your flatmates will welcome you upon your confirmed move-in date, open the door for you, and show you your room. Your keys will wait for you in your nightstand drawer if you haven't been advised to pick them up at a KeyNest.
You are required to fill in a handover protocol and sent it back signed as soon as possible. The handover protocol is provided to you via E-Mail. After you sent it back, you will receive your landlord confirmation to register at the city's office.
Pro Tip:
There is a possibility that you're the first person to move into a flat. Of course, the key handover will then be arranged differently, as there are no flatmates to welcome you yet. If that is the case, and you move in on a holiday or during the weekend, we recommend bringing a few necessary things directly with you, such as soap, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc. Stores are closed on Sundays and on holidays, so keep that in mind.
